Saving Money While Saving the Environment Nowadays, the problem of the environmental pollution has become very important all over the world. The problem is that the majority of people lives in rural areas and produces too many pollutants in the air, which contributes to the worsening of the environmental situation. An interesting question arises: What measures should be taken in order to protect the environment, saving money?First of all, people should start using environmentally friendly transport: bicycles instead of cars, as cars produce too harmful emissions that pollute the atmosphere. If it is possible, people should use cars with accumulators, as they are environmentally friendly, while gas and petrol are very harmful to the environment. In addition, people should plant as many trees as possible, as trees absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. People will not spend much money on it, but the results will be rewarding. People should take all possible measures in order to preserve native forests. Fauna should be preserved as well, as there are a lot of animals who have a beneficial impact on the environmental situation. “Conservation and protection of native vegetation and fauna, including the protection and management of forests” (Godden, 2007, p. 1). Moreover, people should follow the rule of “3Rs: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse.” People should recycle all the products (paper, glass, plastic, and so on and so forth) instead of throwing them away. People should learn to use packets and plastic boxes from the products bought in shops for several times, thus reducing the use of plastic boxes and polyethylene packets. More than that, people should create different green organizations that would clean up cities. They should join international organizations that develop strategies that contribute to the improvement and protection of the environmental situation. Consequently, all people themselves should take a primary responsibility for the protection of the environment: reduce smoking (or not smoke at all), clean up the city they live in, plant trees, and so on and so forth. The paper is of a great theoretical and practical value. It serves as a sufficient background for further research. Work CitedGodden, L.
