It is true, that our world will never lack exceptional and remarkable people, but some say, that the most talented of them have already been born hundreds of years ago. One of today’s most admired artists is Franz Joseph Haydn and his influence on classical music is immense and overwhelming. The great composer Franz Joseph Haydn was born on March 31, 1732 in Rohrau, Austria close to the border of Hungary. His father was a civil servant, and his mother was a cook, and neither could read or write music. Haydn's father, however, was an experienced folk musician, and had spent time in his youth playing music after teaching himself the harp. Despite the lack of formal music training in his family before him, his parents encouraged musical expression and they often sang for family members and neighbors (Classical). It can be easily said, that Haydn was lucky that he had such caring and supporting parents, who noticed his musical talent early and decided that he needed to go to a different city to truly explore it. He has been working on different jobs as assistants for professional musicians for as much as ten years, getting from them knowledge about composition and some music writing techniques. Exactly during this time he wrote some of his first string quartets and an opera (Classical). In the year 1757, a significant event in the life of the famous musician took place - he was given his first position as the music director for Count Karl von Morzin. He directed the count's small orchestra and wrote the first of his symphonies (Classical). Sometime after, Morzin experienced financial difficulties, and had to give up on Haydn. Right when this important phase of his life ended, another one began – the musician was offered a job he would maintain for most of his life in 1761 as the music director for the Eszterhazy family, an important aristocratic family of the Austrian Empire. He took on the full duties in 1766, when the pervious full music director died (Classical).During the 30 years that he worked for Eszterhazy family, he produced an enormous number of musical works and developed his …
