Nowadays alcohol drinking among teenagers is one of the most burning problems of contemporary society. It is becoming more disturbing when a young person began to drink since the high school or even earlier. This is the burning issue and international problem that touches countries all over the world. Japan is not exclusion. Moreover, the question is an edge regarding to the drinking among college students and adolescents. The first alarming signs emerged when the students began to die of alcohol overdose. The surveys and various investigations show that there are a lot of premises influencing the issue of drinking among teenagers in Japan. Different scholar references argue about the main reasons of using alcohol by the college students. The roots of drinking habits lie within social, cultural and developmental layers. The main cause is the age of the drinkers. It is well known that in this period a person does not have stable number of principles and the habit to resist social influence of some kind. Some scholars discuss the cultural reasons of the Japanese alcohol drinking habits and its influence on the young people. The origin of the alcohol abuse can be the sum of all causes or to be built from each other giving birth of the overdosing of the alcohol. In this paper I will examine the information and try to find out the main reasons of the drinking habits among college students in Japan. The second objective of my investigation will be the comparing of origins between the Japanese students and the other cultures which have the same issues.Literature ReviewAccording to the scholar examinations and surveys the problem of alcohol abuse in Japan has several roots, for example, one of them is the developmental problem which is actually, the global one. The second cause is the specificity of Japanese culture as it is very interdependent. The negative social events that occur in the present Japan imply the reaction of its citizens and the most psychologically dependent of them, teenagers. As the evidence shows, the Japanese students show more dependency of the social interactions and point of view of the society towards them then the students from the USA. One more example of cultural premises of the problem is the denial of expressing negative emotions to the public which cause a deep stress to the young people. The core of the Japanese culture is the point that everyone has to gain the high social status and has the certain place in the society. Any trouble to follow the generally accepted idea is leading to the stressful situation and the alcohol abuse as a way out. Culture as a key factor of understanding the central reason of the problem.Beating in the alarm began after the accidents that caused the death of several college students.
