Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
The main requirement: minimum of five years of professional information systems auditing, control or security work experience. In addition, it is possible to get substitutions and waivers of such experience up to three years. More information is available on the ISACA website.
Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM)
Verified evidence of a minimum of five years of information security work experience is required, with a minimum of three years of information security management work experience in three or more of the job practice analysis areas. In addition, the work experience must be obtained within the ten-year period preceding the application date for certification or within five years from the date of initially passing the exam. Information on work experience waivers and substitutions is available on the ISACA website.

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
CIA candidates must hold a 4-year post-secondary degree (or higher) or its educational equivalent from an accredited university. Candidates with Masters degree must have at least 12 months of internal auditing work experience, while other candidates must have at least 24 months of such experience. For some countries, one must be a member of IIA to become a CIA. More information on whether this requirement applies can be obtained in the local IIA institution. What is important is that missing educational prerequisites cannot be replaced with work experience.
Certification in Control Self Assessment (CCSA)
CCSA candidates must hold a 4-year post-secondary degree or equivalent and have one year of control-related business experience (i.e. control self-assessment, auditing, quality assurance, risk management, or environmental auditing), and a completed Experience Verification Form.
