The history of the United States of America is full of a great variety of controversial issues. Every historian has his own view on the events that took place in this now independent country. People all over the world used to consider and admire the USA as the Motherland of freedom and democracy; but it was not so during the whole history of the country. The politics changed every time the new President came to the State authority. The USA had a great variety of Presidents who ruled the country basing on their own political views and personal persuasions.

William Jefferson Clinton is the 42nd President of the United States. He was at the head of the country from 1993 to 2001. The promising young politician was inaugurated at the age of 46. Nowadays, he is considered to be the third-youngest president of the USA; but in spite of this fact, William Jefferson Clinton provided economic prosperity of the United States and social peace of the country.

William Clinton is supposed to be the first Democratic president after Franklin Roosevelt. During his administration the country received the lowest unemployment rate, the lowest crime rate and the lowest rate of homeless people. William Clinton fought against the racial discrimination as well. He proposed the reform of health care and changed the system of education, protecting those parents, who had sick children.

William Clinton’s administration had a great impact upon the USA and the world in whole. As he worked for NATO expansion, made the strict rules against the drugs and while he had the reins of government he glorified the freedom of the most democratic country in the world – the United States of America.
