Introduction

The media is one of the most commonly applied modes of communication in the 21st century. Communication is a very important tool in the society and the world at large. Communication should efficient and effective and easily understood by the recipient. As much as communication is important in the current world, there are major setbacks in the industry. Today’s news media has had a great impact on the economy and social relations of different countries in the world. There are however, major setbacks associated with news media companies in different parts of the world.

`Exaggeration is one of the major negative characters of today’s news media. The news media companies engage in exaggerating some of the major events which occur in different parts of the world. This is risky because it tends to increase the levels of tension for people watching, reading or listening to the news. The aspect of exaggeration may also lead to different ways of reacting to what could have happened.

With the knowledge of the negative impacts of exaggerating news, the news media companies should try and be precise on the reports made on different events in the world. This would at least be a step towards reducing high levels of tension amongst people receiving the news. World news is part of the most sensitive and should therefore be handled in a way that should not arouse tension.

Conclusion

The criticism of the news media on the part of exaggeration has been seen in most news media companies in different parts of the world. Effective measures should therefore be taken in ensuring that the companies do not lead to too much exaggeration.
