Abstract

This paper explores the conformity and difference between ArcelorMittal Orbit and Eiffel Tower based on three articles that report the peculiarity of ArcelorMittal Orbit, the fighting with onset of corrosion of Eiffel Tower, and characteristic of French life. There was an evaluating of designing and building of the structures which helps us to understand the process of creating works of art. The articles faithfully examine the results of a grand building of both Towers. It was scrupulously described the forms, details and colors of the sculptures. This suggests that every engineering structure is unique in its way. There are many people in world that criticize some masterpieces and also there are many people that honor and marvel it. It is a fact that ArcelorMittal Orbit and Eiffel Tower are different but they both are works of art and beautiful parts of urban cities.

When we talk about the science as the sphere of activity it is easy to determine its product. And there is knowledge. The examples of such architectural masterpieces are Eiffel Tower and ArcelorMittal Tower. They were built in two magnificent and hugest cities Paris and London. France and Great Britain have their own traditions, lifestyles and perception of the world. French people like exquisite things, cooking, delicious food, fashion and beauty. Culture and art are very appreciated in France so they relate to works of art with scrupulously, honor and love. It also concerns the architecture. The vivid example is Eiffel Tower. It was built in XIX century and remained “Iron Lady” today. At that time there were no computer technologies and programs for creating a design of architectural buildings. But many present-day architects can envy the fantastic job of drawings and designs of this Tower.

ArcelorMittal Orbit is a new engineering structure which was built in 2012. The creators of this Tower used modern computer programs and 3D technologies to make really perfect drawings of sculpture. With a help of computer systems it was constructed the extraordinary geometric shapes of the trunk and tubes and their connections.

The reasons of building these towers were similar. Eiffel Tower was designed for the Universal Exhibition. ArcelorMittal Orbit became an integral part of the Olympic Park in London. The visitors from different countries could evaluate and admire this …
