First of all, the Bible is the most popular book in the world appreciated by billions of people of different religions and worldviews. Every well-educated person must understand the role of this book in the history of the world and know the most famous stories and events described in it. Moreover, allusions on the Biblical plots can be found in many works of fine arts, literature, and cinematography. That is why I think that the Bible perspective class helped me enrich my outlook on life.Secondly, I learnt the value of this book for the process of establishing the foundations for the western cultural space. In fact, the western civilization was formed on the grounds of some basic ethical principles described in the Bible. Christian morality can be considered as the most developed set of universal laws and rules that regulate social relations in many societies all over the world. For example, the Ten Commandments represent the most important ethical background for modern civilization. The Bible creates a philosophical framework for almost every persons' worldview.The third important point is that the Bible perspective class helped me understand how to read the Bible. Indeed, this book cannot be read and comprehended as easily as many other books. There are a lot of archaic words, expressions, and notions in it.
