My company is a shoe making company by the name Footstar Shoe Company. The company designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes shoes all over the country. The company has a long-term plan of expanding the business to foreign countries. Its mission is to be the leading shoe making company in the region offering high quality, less expensive, comfortable, and fashionable shoes. It employs more than 50 employees within the country. The company serves different market segments including fashion, casual, and sports. It also segments its business based on gender i.e. women and men, as well as, age; children, youth, and old people. The company is committed to enhancing customer satisfaction by tailor-making shoes to meet all consumers’ needs. It invests extensively in research to ensure that it come up with innovative products regularly for it to acquire a competitive advantage. This is also to ensure that the company’s survival is not at stake because of the stiff competition in the shoes industry.

The company also takes advantage of the ever-changing technology in designing, manufacturing, marketing and distribution. In designing, the company ensures that it comes up with fashionable and comfortable shoes that are competitive in the market. In manufacturing, the company utilizes technology in bringing down the cost of production, therefore, being able to charge low prices thus acquiring a competitive advantaged. Technology also helps in enhancing efficiency through using resources, both human and capital, optimally. The company also utilizes technology in distribution to ensure an effective delivery of products to customers. Technology help in ensuring that shoes reach customers in good time and also enhance the communication between the company and customers, for example, making ordering easier. In marketing, the company utilizes technology ensuring that the advertisement message reaches a wide coverage. It makes use of modern technology, for example, the social media, to communicate its advertisement message to customers.

Team

The company has a valuable and diversified leadership team that works hard ensuring it remains as the leader in the market. The team members have a wide range of skills, therefore, helping in driving the company forward in all ways. Every member has specialization in his or her area of operation. The selection of the team members was rigorous to ensure that a winning team leads the company. The company engages in team building and bonding activities regularly and all team members undergoes training at least twice annually to ensure they equipped with competitive skills.

Our team meets regularly. This helps each member to know the progress in terms of achieving the company’s objectives. Every member is given a chance to inform the team about how far he or she has gone as far as set objectives are concerned. In case of any adverse variance in terms of actual and expected performance, the team leaders’ work together to look for a solution.
