1. The first creation story in Genesis 1.1-2.4 is more elaborated when compared to the second creation story in Genesis 2.4-3.24. Genesis 1 story tells about how many days it took God to fulfil the creation, it describes the way forces of nature looked like before being formed into the world as we know it today, and includes the description of the creation of man and woman. While Genesis 1 account seems to be based on Babylonian myths, and implies the omnipotence of the Creator, the second one is simpler and makes the reader infer that God was partly dependent on the nature and needed it (e.g., clay, dust) to create everything, including man. Besides, some believe that the first account originated among those people, who either lived near sea or ocean, or were connected to water in another way; whereas the second one is believed to have been created by inhabitants of an arid environment.
2. Since an apocalyptic prophet is supposed to prepare mankind for the End times, many consider Jesus to be the one, taking into account his activity and warning Jews of Apocalypse. However, many scholars do not regard the historical Jesus an apocalyptic prophet at all, pointing out at the leading role of Jewish wisdom tradition in his teachings. According to questcentre.ca:
The apocalyptic material associated with Jesus is restricted to the canonical tradition of Christianity, but the wisdom tradition associated with Jesus is both in and outside the canonical tradition.
3. Both in Qur’an and Christianity, Jesus is an important person. However, in Islam, Jesus (Isa) is known as a prophet, whereas in the Bible, he is the Son of God. Muslims believe that the Qur’an is a guidance from God, revealed to Muhammad, and, thus, have no doubt about its content. The Bible contains the narratives of Jesus’ life that were written by Mark, Luke, Matthew and John. In such a way, not verified sources, but Christian traditions define Jesus and his teachings in Christianity. Only the four accepted Gospels written by Jesus’ disciples mirror the idea of Jesus, as it was formed by the later church and as it is presented nowadays worldwide.
