This is a government run website. It has a portal that directs users to export services offered in the United States. The visitor accesses plenty of helpful information concerning exports. The portal covers local and international export services. The portal is named ‘export.gov’. It allows visitors access to regional export information based on their State. The United States Commercial Services under the department of Commerce’s Trade International Administration initiated this project. One of the services offered to exporters in New York City, for example, is finding them a market for their products. The network is present in the entire United States and Its Embassies and consulates all over the world. They do this in the form of advising traders on coming up with comprehensive business strategies and plans. These plans facilitate entry into the export business as well as room for expansion. It explains the process involved in electronically filling information about their exports. The website also informs them on invoicing their products and how to come up with proper lists on the exports packages. It also informs them about certification of origin for their exports. Customs officials recognize the HS numbers globally and use them for reference. The site also talks about Schedule B numbers. These are export codes given by the United States Census Bureau. It is built on the HS numbers platform and classifies goods exported from the United States. They are the determinant factor on what tariff rate category an export falls.
