I enjoy psychology, not only because it helps to understand and predict the behavior and thoughts of others, but also because it assists me in getting to know myself more deeply. That is why I want to connect my life with psychology and become a professional in this area. So, the most important long-term goal concerning my professional development for the next three years is to enter the master program in psychology. Short term goal/s that contribute to achieving your three year goal:To achieve this goal, I will have to study hard and be rated high for the courses I take. This will allow me to get a high GPA, and then – get honours. After taking these steps, I will be able to apply for the master program, and enter it in three years. Three Year Term Goal 2 (Personal):My next goal has to do with charity: I want to become a volunteer in some charitable institution. It is important for me to learn how to help absolutely different people. Moreover, it can be a good practice to work in an organization and to be a part of a team; at the same time, it will teach me how to work on my own, and apply my academic knowledge on practical level. Short term goal/s that contribute to achieving your three year goal:However, I haven’t decided yet, which area this organisation should belong to. So, the first step will be to clarify my own preferences. Actually I am in the process of choosing between two options: I want something connected with assisting immigrants, or on the contrary – I would like to help people, who are leaving abroad for a long period of time. I think that it will be easier to decide in the process of search for the organization. After finding it, I will also have to apply for the position of the volunteer.Three Year Term Goal 3 (Your choice of domain):The third goal is probably the most desirable for me. In the next three years I want to learn at least one foreign language till the intermediate level. I think that it is very significant for anyone to know several languages. Firstly, it develops one’s cognitive skills. Secondly, it broadens your outlook on life as a whole, and, more exactly, helps to understand other cultures. At last, the more languages a person knows, the more job prospects she has.Short term goal/s that contribute to achieving your three year goal:To achieve this goal I will have to analyse, which language is the most useful. At the moment I want to learn French or Japanese. The first is more helpful for travelling matters, because it is widespread throughout the world; while the second seems to be the right choice for work, as Japan is a highly developed country, and partnership with Japanese companies is really prestigious. I think I will start from learning French, because it belongs to the same language group as English, …
