She discusses the lives of two generations in America, the first and the third generation. She claims that the prestigious lives of third generation Latinos cover up for the poor lives of the first generation group. Rosie Molinary’s book, ‘Hijas Americanas’ describes the life of Latinos in the United States. She highlights the challenges, which Latino women face while struggling to cope with two cultures. The movie ‘Frida’ illustrates the life of a Mexican artist known as Frida Kahlo. It focuses on the enduring strength of the artist and the significance of her paintings. Her paintings had bold colors to reveal the mood while doing each piece; for instance, she used yellow to show madness and leaf green to show sadness.
