Falling in the styles

The first three pictures fall in the impressionism style because they bring a spirit of innovation. It is important to pay attention to the fact that these paintings do not provoke strong negative reaction. Probably, the reason is that they picture children.

The pictures give the new vision of the world and they focus on showing the world in great details – the works’ authors paid a lot of attention to the environment; they did not use mixed colors.

All the three pictures capture the impression of the viewers immediately. They demonstrate outdoor scenes (Impressionism).

As for the following three works, they belong to post impressionism style since their authors use bright palette. They do not reject the emphasis of the impressionism on recording of color and light spontaneously. The pictures have a greater degree of structure and format in comparison with those of impressionists (Post-Impressionism).

The three impressionism pictures demonstrate children who are painted in mild colors. These might be placed in the same office room since one of them is performed in the yellow palette, the second one in the violet, and the third combines both of them.

The three post-impressionism pictures demonstrate cities and the nature. These particular works were chosen because they do not possess to obvious features of post impressionism, but they rather share many characteristics with the impressionism pictures. All the three are performed in mild tones and they would be suitable in every office room, regardless of the fact whether it has bright colors or not.

Each of the pieces is historically significant first of all, because they represent heritage of the greatest impressionists and post impressionists of the 19th century. Secondly, they represent the best examples of the styles of impressionism and postimpressionism. And thirdly, these works bring immediate impression and catch attention of the viewers.

The six works can be divided into two groups not only according to the style which was followed by their authors, but also by the pictures shown. The first group of works demonstrates children and the nature.

These contribute to the image of the company because children always bring association of stable future, of happiness, kindness, understanding, patience, etc. Since there are pictures of children in the office, this encourages the customers and guests of the company to believe that help and taking care about children is encouraged and these are not possible without positive qualities, which have been just mentioned above.

The second set of the pictures, the three post-impressionism works, demonstrate cities and the nature. These bring association of wealth and stability – cities are pictured to prosper, and so the same association occurs in those who view the pictures towards the company and its activity.
