Hurricane Irene was the tropical cyclone which began in the end of August, 2011. Hurricane Irene was active Atlantic hurricane which caused a considerable damage to many countries of the Caribbean. It arose to the east of Lesser Antilles. The storm, which arose in Caribbean sea in August, 22nd, reached the force of 2nd degree and in August, 23rd and caused hurricane Irene. It had the category of dander from first to third with wind gusts to 190 km an hour. It is the first hurricane in Atlantic, which happened during a season of storms. In Puerto Rico it caused pouring rains and winds. Steady wind gusts there reached from 17 to 160 km an hour, which pulled out trees and damaged electric mains, left about 800 thousand inhabitants of Puerto Rico without electricity. Pouring rains flooded streets. In August, 27th in the USA it was declared one million people in the State of New Jersey to leave their houses.

273 thousand people remained without electricity, 2 piers were damaged, 3 persons perished in Northern Carolina because of hurricane Irene. 1 child perished in Virginia. Total number of victims because of hurricane is not less than 42 persons. It was estimated that the damage from hurricane was not less than $10 billion On this index Irene could go down in ten most destructive hurricanes for the last 40 years.

In New York metro stations near the Bottom Manhattan were flooded; the considerable afflux of water is marked also in Brooklyn. It became known that flood happened also in Darby, state of Philadelphia where in some areas water reached level of signboards and traffic signs. There are number of assumptions about the fact how the national economic problems that were aggravated with consequences of hurricane Irene, would effect on the attendance of Las Vegas. The quantity of inhabitants of the South, which travel by plane, train and sea transport will decrease on 1,6 %.

The automobile Club in Southern California noticed that the research, which was carried out among travel agencies, found out that among the main places where the tourists would go this year were San Diego, Las Vegas, the Central Coast of California, San Francisco and the Grand Canyon. Last year Las Vegas was on the first place in the list.

But despite difficult economic conditions, Las Vegas supports its reputation of the main tourist center in the country.

At a high level of unemployment and insufficient use of resources in building and manufacture of building materials the regeneration after hurricane made it possible to release at least $20 billion on new direct private expenses, because many people spent more means for revival. The capital that appeared would be economically more useful and efficient.

If the restaurant with the insufficient income was destroyed, then its owner would invest the received insurance in new, more attractive business.
