In my essay I’ll describe the ways of improving patients’ treatment at hospitals. The purpose of my research is to find some effective propositions for medical workers in order to make patients happier.

First of all I want to start my essay with the main characteristics of the medical staff and then explain the importance and affect each of them on the patients’ treatment.

I’d suggest the medical personnel of the clinics to be more communicative, friendly, patient and attentive to people. First of all I’d recommend them to be patient centered. It means medical workers should more communicate to every patient, speak to them directly, don’t speak down to them, and show sincere interest to their life story and health problems. I‘d propose hospital’s management to take control over the communications between nurses and patients and doctors and people they treat.

I consider it’s very important to surround patients with attention and care as well. Timely professional medical aid proves the high qualification of the clinic, but treatment with respect and attention provides the hospital not only better reputation, but also better and faster patients’ recovering. People want to get friendly support in difficult situation. They need to speak to somebody and to tell about their difficulties, when they’re confused or unexpected facing to physical pain. People need especially more attention and care, when they’re ill or have problems with health. In such situations medical personnel are the first (and in some cases the only one) patients’ companion they’re talking to.

My proposal for medical workers regarding improving of communication is to put more questions to patients in order to know and understand why they’re in hospital, what’s happened to them, is their illness chronic or it’s the first attack. Firstly, any health problems are physical and psychological stress for the person, so it’s very important for patients to speak to somebody during the first few days they’re in hospital. Secondly, asking more questions, doctors and nurses get more information about patient, so they can faster deliver medical aid of higher qualification.

Besides that, I’d also recommend asking patient about his feelings, news and hobbies. It’s essential to emphasis that regular questions regarding patient’s health should show not only doctor’s professional interest to patients, but also sincere support in their recovering process.

More information about patient’s interests allows making his recover faster as well. I mean that favorite books, music or hobbies give a man more positive emotions and energy and allow paying person’s attention not to his illness but to his recover.

Additionally, medical staff should be more patient with people. As I’ve mentioned above, any health problems are stress for the person. The man becomes nerves and aggressive in that period, because of pain, change of place and without family’s and friends’ support. Besides that, patient must make different tests and medical procedures. All these actions make the situation for the patient more complicate. So, medical workers should understand patient’s feeling and be more patient with him, even when they …
