Beauty

People say that beauty is able to save the world. Thinking about beauty, most of us imagine nice looking people, who are happy and smiling. But, beauty is not limited by the way a person looks or feels because it involves much greater and much more important aspects of individuality of a person. Explaining the term “beauty” it is necessary to think about the inner beauty which is the source of the outer one. However, as it has been already mentioned above, the aspect of nice looking is the dominant one and this is why many definitions of beauty emphasize exactly this part of the concept. According to one of the definitions, beauty is “the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as personal in which high spiritual qualities manifest) (Beauty).” In order to understand the concept of beauty better, it is necessary to address the etymology of the word.

Beauty is one of the strongest drivers of people’s actions and in many cases it has defined the way the history of the world developed. Taking the history of the Troy, for example – the long war was hold because of the Helen of the Troy who was known for her beauty (Helen of Troy).

The history of the world also gives numerous examples of issues which are not beautiful. As a rule, they are rejected by the society; they are represented by war, anger, desperate, unstable health, bad psychological condition, etc. In other words, something which is not beautiful is always rejected by people.

Thus, it is possible to conclude that beauty can be defined in various ways and it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that each one of them is quite complex. Beauty can be found everywhere because people tend to it – the only …
