There are numerous physical learning settings which are attended by multiple learners and trainees. Unfortunately, nearly all of them need some improvement. However, some of them need so solve urgent problems, while others experience minor difficulties.
One of the settings, which have been presented throughout the course projects in the MAED program, is one of those which seem to have minor problems. However, the case of this particular setting is interesting to be investigated because its problems are not evident.
The setting has a significant base of resources which are available to all the learners and trainees with no exception. These, in their turn, are encouraged to use as many resources as possible in order to contribute to their knowledge and develop skills which would be useful in their further practice. There are few learners who do not demonstrate any motivation to study; however, they do not receive an opportunity to study at higher courses unless they do not demonstrate significant progress.
What is interesting about this setting is that, as it has been already mentioned above, its problems are not evident – most students demonstrate significant progress, they have an opportunity to access all the necessary materials and equipment to study successfully. However, the problem is that the setting does not improve its system of management or education – the system has been working for many years and nothing has been done to improve it or introduce any strategies or tactics to improve performance of the students.
Despite the fact that currently the setting demonstrates success, it will not be able to function in the same way within several years since demands of the human resource market change and new approaches should be introduce in order to give the setting an opportunity to remain competitive.
