A letter from Elizabeth Bennett to JaneDear Jane,We do not have enough time to communicate with each other that is why I have decided to write for you this letter. We were discussing our society and people living in it, when my mother came last time. I think we haven’t discussed all interesting points. Don’t you think, there is some global insanity on the basis of marriage after the balls in our city? All women perceive marriage as a good deal and nothing more. The ball was the most interesting place where we can demonstrate our best line, but even there our ladies couldn’t do it. Dear Jane, what is your opinion about themes that were discussed on the ball? Of course, not all were born speakers and most of the conversations were gibble-gabble, there were some interesting men. It was interesting to communicate with them. She is going to marry with a loveless person. What a depressing picture! Charlotte humbled herself in this way. On the one hand, I am confident in her unfortunate fate in this marriage. Our society really influenced her, didn’t she? On the other hand, I believe she had powerful arguments. She is sacrificing herself for the good of her family. I know Charlotte does not want to burden her family. At the same time, she fears not to get a marriage proposal any more. She has younger sisters, they cannot get married before her, knowing all the responsibilities concerning the status of the eldest daughter, and she decided to get married. Poor Charlotte, due to the rules of our society she had to make this hard choice.Society, where we …
