Almost each religion had prophets, which have significantly influenced its dogmatic believes. Islam is usually perceived as being founded my Mohammad, who was the last messenger of God in Arabia. In fact, Mohamed played one of the most important roles in Islam religion. He is one of the most influential leaders who managed to unify Arabia under the single religion, which is cold Islam. His influence was immense and that is why his ideas were later spread by Muslims all over the world.
Born in Mecca, Mohammad was orphaned at a young age (Peters, 2006). Having a strong faith, Mohammad received visions from God. Although he was uncertain of the source of the voice in his head, supported by his wife and relatives, he had enough courage to venture into public places of Mecca and announce this message whose name was Islam (Peters, 2006). Mecca was probably chosen as a special place for strengthening Islamic religious traditions. At that time Mecca was a commercial city with strong polytheistic traditions and people were worshiping diverse gods. However, Mecca finally accepted the changes proposed my Mohammad. In fact, Mohammad promised and gave hope that this new religion will be strengthened after he announced his pilgrimage to the Ka’ba (Peters).
There are different philosophical ideas, which can help to further spread Islamic tradition. For example, Muhammad’s mission was to turn the Meccans from their cultic polytheism to the worship of One God and to reform their corrupt morality (Peters, 2006). Thus, Muhammad made them realize that there is only one God, which should be praised and this is one of the most important pillars of Islam. Muhammad also traveled all over Arabia and visited Medina, a place, whose hostile climate could potentially make people resist obeying his prophetic admonishment. Nevertheless, for example, ritual prayer (salat) began to practice as soon after the Prophet arrived in Medina (Peters, 2006). Mohammad was able to instill another important pillar of Islam, which is a prayer. Prayer becomes one of the most important features of Islam, because it established certain relations with God.
All in all, these ideas, pronounced by the Prophet Mohammad can help Muslims to further spread the pillars of faith of Islam. The fact that Mohammad had a hard life and managed to spread his religion should inspire Muslims all over the world. For example, despite certain religious issues in Mecca as well as in Medina, Mohammad still managed to call on the people to change their moral beliefs. That is why it can be said that his reformation of this religion was connected to diverse important philosophical, political and geographical factors.
