There are many women, who have significantly influenced the human history. Hinda Jiani is one of such personalities, who make serious changes in the human rights movement. Originally from Pakistan, Hinda is trying to peacefully resolve serious human rights violations in her country.

Every day women in Pakistan are living under the constant threat. They are not only suffering from the wars and shootings, but from abusive behaviors of their husbands. There are many stories when in Muslim cultures women are not only physically abused by their spouses, but are being murdered as well. For the most part, women bear traditional male control over every aspect of their bodies, speech and behavior with stoicism, as part of their fate (Amnesty International Report, 2012). Therefore, women are isolated and they have nowhere to hide from these grim realities of their private lives.

That is why some women are trying to create different women’s groups in order to gain media attention and raise awareness of such issues. These women who decide to mobilize need a strong leader, who is able to guide them through this serious process of battling with traditional system of discrimination and unfair treatment of women. Therefore Hinda Jiani is one of such leaders, who are helping the women in Pakistan.

Nowadays, Hinda is an internationally recognized human rights activist and her contribution to the women’s movement in Pakistan is tremendous. She is also known for creation of the Women’s Action Forum and her main activity is primarily focused on providing legal aid to women, educating them about their rights and laws (Amnesty International Report, 2012). Of course, it is a formidable task to confront this system and that is why Hinda says: “The small successes count for a lot. They may be few and far between but the point is they are significant. We feel that something is there, a light at the end of the tunnel and we have seen that light many times.” (Dorfman, 2004)

All in all, Hinda Jiani is one of the most popular human rights activists all over the world. She is trying to solve the problems of discrimination and unfair treatment of women in Pakistan. Her activity is very important, because she is helping women to avoid abusive behavior of their husbands and protect their rights. Overall, it is important to believe in yourself and in the fact that you are an individual, who has a right for protection.
