Nowadays any person can't fail to engage in active discussion of issues about saving peace in the world in the face of increase of acts of terrorism, growth of slighting and hostile attitude to different peoples and religions. In order to preserve peace in the world, it is important to organize public events that are aimed to remind people about the consequences of wars. One World Concert is an event that should raise awareness to global peace. It was organized at Syracuse University on Tuesday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m . The event included performances of many popular international artists.

One World Concert was an effective way of raising awareness to global peace but it had limitations that prevented the event to become more significant.

First of all, the form of the event was very successful. Music is one of the simplest ways to put a message to other people, since music touch our souls more than just words. Then, the event was mainly aimed to young people who study or work in the university. It is important as our future mostly depends on youth’s decisions. However, visitors who were going to pay more for comfort were also satisfied, since they managed to get Gold Circle tickets for $200.

From the political standpoint, the concert supported the ideas of pacifism and liberalism. Thus, one of stakeholders of the concert was the Chairman of World Harmony Productions, Mr. Samuel G.
