Final Reflection Assignment

Leadership Skills already hadThe enrollment to the course was to prepare me with information in Leadership skills. At the time of joining the course, I realized that leaders need to provide fellow workers with instructions. Leaders are supposed to be people who uphold the organization image to the outside word. To sustain such profile leaders are supposed to be morally upright by avoiding things like corruption (Hess and Edward, 2012). Leadership skills learnedThe leadership skills gained during the course will provide good theoretical knowledge as to how to communicate ideas to the people below in the organization. The course has provided information on how to handle changes in organization. Some of the changes include transferring workers from their workstation to handle new positions. The course suggests training the workers before implementing changes and explaining to them the necessity of making the changes. The course has provided knowledge on the process of handling conflict among workers (Yukl, n.d). The leader is not supposed to take any position in such situations, but act as a mediator to allow workers come up with an agreement in a peaceful manner. The leadership skills on reviewing workers performance will ensure that non-performing workers are put to task. The leader is not supposed to suck such workers, but move forward in advising them on the way they can improve their productivity. The book has brought to my attention the necessity of setting superior standards to be met by individual workers. The standards include what time workers should arrive and leave their working stations. Such standards are supposed to eliminate conflicts between workers and their supervisor. The standards will also provide measures to be used by any juniors while faced with conflicting opinions. The juniors include people to whom supervisory duties have been delegated to when the leader is away.End StateThe leadership skills gained in the course makes me a person who can handle any leadership position with minimal supervision. The skills have provided a platform of solving any crisis that I will face while in any supervisory position. To further my knowledge, I will take courses on Entrepreneurship that will assist in starting my own venture as a leader.
