Thesis

The Confucius passage states a value of government and propriety of certain genius in life and its maxims. The passage creates the understanding of how people are led by certain laws and uniformity of knowledge and the way they should avoid punishment and be led by virtue and a good sense of intelligence and vigor.

Reasons

One of the reasons is since rulers have a like to observe the rules offered in propriety. This is since people’s response to service is positive.

If people are led by certain knowledge and virtue, they have a sense of shame and become good in their lives (Andrea & Overfield, 2001).

The master also says that exercise of government is like a star that keeps in place all the stars that run towards it.

It is important to have rule so as to keep upright and keep away the crooked people that will not agree to submit.

Proper guidance and leadance also allows for clarity of good desires that reverberates into the good of the people being shown (Andrea & Overfield, 2001).

Good leadance improves the association of the superiors and inferiors in the society and nations.

Analysis

The passage has got correct arguments on the way people should be lead in the world. It is a proper description of the ways of the government and the way rules and regulations should be passed on. The passage reviews the way leaders should uphold principles without bending them and making people suffer in the long run (Andrea & Overfield, 2001). The passage shows how leadership becomes smooth with the rectification of the mistakes that the poor governments make. The passage however needs an in-depth explanation of some arguments. The reasons are however sound and Confucius has to believe that people will have the knowledge of leadership for them to believe what he said.
